Super Mario Bros – Line Rider

A person calling themselves shadon1nja has posted several Line Rider tracks to Youtube. Line Rider r was originally created by Slovenian university student, Boštjan Cadež, in September of 2006. Fans of the LineRider toy quickly noticed that they could create tracks, set them to music, and share them over YouTube.com. Currently, there are over 11,000 shared videos with many more to come. inXile Entertainment is working with Boštjan to extend the Line Rider concept.

Super Mario Bros MIDI Animation

Someone at Nico Nico Douga is a big video game MIDI song fan. A presumably Japanese fellow named HattariYaro was so kind as to reveal these to YouTube for our viewing pleasure. The original is created using software called Music Animation Machine which transcribes a simple MIDI audio file to a visual representation. The works created by an anonymous user posted on Nico Nico Douga are very impressive because the user had to manipulate the music to balance between the proper sound and a recognizable visual output.

PS2 – Odin Sphere

Odin Sphere is a gorgeous 2d game recently released on the PS2. That’s right, a game mentioned in the 2007 GameTrailers gift guide for PS2, is only rendered in two dimensions. Hopefully this is not the last of 2d games for home consoles. Either way, Okami, God of War 2 and Oden Sphere are among the final hits for the PS2, games that should make Sony proud.
