Compact Digital Cameras
Many people have commented that they liked the Canon 870IS I have been using recently. It was quite a difficult decision to make because generally cameras have taken a step backwards recently in an effort to cram more MP (megapixels) onto compact CCD. I travel regularly and haven’t graduated to carrying an SLR around, in most cases it’s impractical for me. Instead I have chosen to depend on a trusty compact to do the job.
DPReview has been posting the best camera reviews on the internet for a very long time. I also visit Imaging Resource from time to time for side by side comparisons. Bear in mind the reviews below are another level of harsh above your typical CNET editorial. Regardless of which camera you choose, I feel a few features should be included in any purchase of a compact camera today.
