PC – Oniblade/Ониблэйд the Russian Demon Blade

Gaijin Entertainment is a Russian game development company who is working with an EU to bring distribute their games to English speaking countries. The game developer site seems to indicate that the game is already released in Russia per their site На главную. The game Oniblade, or Ониблэйд, is a Russian-made, Japanese anime-inspired action RPG. In any case, hopefully I can get my hands on this game with the Russian voices, I much prefer subs to dubs.

Oni means demon (悪魔) in Japanese and blade (の翼) is English; it’s also interesting to note the name of the company, gaijin (外人) is a somewhat derogatory name for ‘foreigner’ in Japanese. Furthermore the Russian spelling of Ониблэйд appears to be transcribed to the closest Russian phonetic equivalent. Between the crossing of several cultural and language transcriptions and transliterations, my mind is boggled.

Interesting look. It is sort of sad how most people only think quality games can only come from the US or Japan. I really want to see gameplay and whether or not that is a heavy amount of detailed Flash going on.
