“The Internet is for Porn” and games.

The Internet is for Porn
If the Internet is for porn, then a close second is video games. The song was born from a Broadway musical called Avenue Q, and was striken from the script when the musical was adapted to TV. In any case some World of Warcraft players put together a music video of this song combined with in game footage. What surprises me is how well this is received by people that have never seen World of Warcraft much less any MMORPG.

Leeroy Jenkins!
Speaking of inane WoW videos that have had unreal reach, both the The Internet is for Porn and Leeroy Jenkins have over 2 million view combined on YouTube not to mention all the copies on Google Video. The Leeroy Jenkins video has become a pop culture icon of it’s own, the very game it parodies has recently paid homage in return… and the cycle continues. In fact Leeroy Jenkins has been referenced dozens of times in bits on all types of media from TV to print. The Leeroy video is could be more accurately described as a light lampoon and in that sense, be aware it is actually an accurate mirror of WoW in many ways. Without further adieu…
Leeeeerooooy Jeeeeenkiiiiiins!!!!

PS3 vs Wii
This video is a pure parody combining the battle between two gaming consoles and the recent advertising campaign of Apple called Get a Mac. Sony Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Wii are truly at opposite ends of the console gaming market, with the Nintendo Wii weighing in at a relatively paltry $250 and the PS3 at nearly $600. The comparison demonstrated here is amazingly close to the truth in so many ways which is what makes it so good.

This huge fan base allows YouTube videos like this one to top 1.5 million hits. The video is by Oxhorn who has some other stuff of similar elk, I mean ilk. Just to give the uninitiated a bit of information, ROFLMAO actually means “Rolling On the Floor Laughing My Ass Off”; one of many abbreviations commonly used in online chat in order to quickly convey emotion. It’s not really meant to be said as one word, or even out loud; though clearly it’s changing and words like LOL (pronounced ‘lawl’ as in ‘fall’) being used in daily conversation. LOLblog. [...]
